According to Time magazine, there is a price tag for happiness: $75K/year. It says when people make less than 75K, the more they make the happier. Over 75 K, however, the increase of income does not increase the sense of happiness. I suppose 75K is not a fixed number.... it will certainly change with inflation and locality. But, if such a number does exist, how should I take it? Should I stop at the line? Or, should I work even harder to ensure that I can maintain above the line in retirement?
This world was complicated enough.... then, some smart guy suddenly claimed he has figured out a magical number... and, here I am, wondering how I should interpret the number and what I should do with it...
Conclusion: this world may be a better place to live if we don t have answers to questions we don t want to ask.
