我國與愛爾蘭青年互赴對方國家打工度假明2013年元旦實施

我與愛爾蘭政府，已就「臺愛打工度假計畫（Working Holiday Programme）」

達成協議，雙方同意上述計畫將自明（102）年1月1日起生效實施。

愛爾蘭是繼紐西蘭、澳洲、日本、加拿大、德國、韓國及英國，

第8個與我簽署類似協定的國家；對愛爾蘭而言，

我國是繼阿根廷、澳洲、加拿大、紐西蘭、日本及韓國後，

第7個參與愛爾蘭打工度假計畫的國家。

這項計畫在明年1月1日實施後，我與愛爾蘭每年將互相提供四百個名額

給對方年齡介於18歲至30歲的青年前往打工度假，兩國青年將可透過

結合觀光、打工或自費遊學等方式，前往對方國家學習語言、深入瞭解當地

文化、社會與生活，拓展國際視野。未來兩國青年有更廣泛而密切的交流，

進而建立雙方青年長久友誼。

青年朋友多加利用此機會赴海外壯遊，充實自己，廣結善緣，

讓全世界見證我國青年的活力與創意；

同時也提醒前往度假打工青年朋友遵守當地法律並注意自身安全，

事前務必多方瞭解及蒐集資料；旅途中也要提高警覺心，

避免因輕信他人而遭詐騙；倘遇急難事件可利用外交部

及駐外各館處的急難救助管道尋求協助……

Taiwan–Ireland Youth Working Holiday Programme to Launch Jan. 1, 2013

Taiwan and Ireland have agreed on a Taiwan-Ireland Working Holiday Programme

that starts on January 1^st , 2013. The agreement was reached after a long period of

hard work and negotiation.

Irelandis the eighth country to sign a working holiday agreement with Taiwan,

after New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Canada, Germany, South Korea and the

United Kingdom. For Ireland, Taiwan will be the seventh country to participate

in its working holiday programme, joining Argentina, Australia, Canada,

New Zealand, Japan and South Korea.

After the launch of the programme on January 1, 2013, Taiwan and Ireland will each

provide the other with an annual quota of 400 visas for young people between the

ges of 18 and 30. This will enable them to visit the partner country for tourism,

work or privately funded studies, and broaden their international horizons through 
learning the language and gaining an in-depth understanding of the culture,

society and lifestyle of the host country. It is believed that broader and closer

exchanges under this programme will foster long-lasting friendship between

the youth of Taiwan and Ireland.

Hope Taiwanese youth will take this opportunity to travel overseas to make

new friends, gain international experience and demonstrate their creativity and

vitality to the world.
