This is to inform you that the contract period of the workers involved in the construction works in the Ernakulam district has expired in March 2011.
Further to the repeated discussions in this issue there was no reasonable result.
The lapse from the side of the representatives of builders association is the barrier for not increasing the wage for the workers.
The wage rate in the huge project’s are fixed on the basis of the contract between union and builders association.
We expect the companies in the LNG project to stop the on going work for 1 day i.e. 19th July 2011 and cooperate in this regard.
