Ha Long Bay is a renowned tourist spot in Vietnam. Its name comes from the following legend: To protect Vietnam from invasion of China, God dispatched a dragon from Heaven. It spewed out a lot of gemstones and emeralds, which turned into the islets we see today.
The special sightseeing spots of Ha Long Bay are The Kissing Rocks, Cho Da Islet, Surprise Cave, and Ti Top Island. The Kissing Rocks are two islets looking like two fighting cocks facing with each other for picking up a fight. Cho Da Islet is an islet looking like a wolfhound looking upward at a nearby giant island. Surprise Cave is a cave formed by stalactite. I think it has a lot of amazing landscapes, so it is called Surprise Cave. The name of Ti Top Island originates from Titop, a USSR friend of the leader of North Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh. One day they set foot in La Long Bay, and Titop liked Ti Top Island very much. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh gave an order to name the island as Ti Top Island. Afterwards, Ti Top Island became the most attractive sightseeing spot of Ha Long Bay.
In a nutshell, Ha Long Bay is a tourist spot abounding with intriguing stories and unique landscapes. If you are planning to have an overseas tour, you can consider going to Ha Long Bay to spend your vacation with delight.
