This is Steven, I will be helping my father to find a nice lady to retire in Taiwan since he really enjoys the delicious food and the comfort of speaking the same language despite that he has been living here for more than 35 years.
My father will be retiring in the next 3 years or so. He has been working overseas in Southeastern Asia since 1996 as an International Sales Manager in a vaccine business in Kansas initially. For the next about 10 years, he was on and off in China including the southern areas of Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong as a general manager for smart cards and manufacturing companies for electric components in the different supply chains. Therefore, he got all the business travels to many countries in both Asia and a few in Europe and North America. So, he got to see many parts of the world with his fellow employees along with the company s boss at times. My father is a fairly open-minded person and to learn new things, too. He speaks very fluent Mandarin Chinese in addition to Fukanese and some Cantonese. He also quickly learn how to type simplified Chinese when working in China. I was impressed by his quick and easy learning ability, also.
When I was young, I was able to travel to Taipei several times seeing HuaLian, Zhongli including eating the wonderful food at the night markets. Of course, my language ability was not really good, yet my aunt was able to understand me and help me to order the nice food for all of us.
You might enjoy seeing my father s friendly smile but he does not smile that much recently due to the COVID-19. Maybe you could bring that smile back to his life, with your nice personality.
