I thinks sometimes God intentionally puts people — needy, hurting, hurtful people — in the path of our life to empower us to love. God knows we learn to love when we do things for others, knowing we won’t get anything in return. We learn to love when helping someone else costs us in our plans, time, convenience, or money.
