ChrisMedina曾是美國歌唱選秀節目的參賽者，
據傳要上的了American Idol直播現場的節目，必須有一鳴驚人的本事，或有賺人熱淚的故事，
而當過星巴克的服務員Chris Medina則屬後者。
Chris與相戀八年的女友本已訂婚，一場突如其來的車禍造成女友創傷性腦損傷，
現在智力只等如兩歲小朋友，生活不能自理，
但他並沒有取消婚約，依然不離不棄的照顧陪伴，並誓言一輩子不會離她而去。
至於參加American Idol的選拔，除了圓自己的音樂夢，同時也希望帶給復健中的未婚妻正面力量。
最後，雖然沒成為American Idol的金牌歌手，但主辦單位還是為他製作了這張專輯"What Are Words"！
