The government announced that the economic growth rate of this year could reach 5.46%. In other words, the government is none the less extremely optimistic about our economy, even though COVID-19 has spread out in every corner of Taiwan.
If the prediction of the government is true, now it is still good time to invest in the stock market because the economy could support the rising of the index of the stock market.
In my opinion, the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan might influence the willingness to place orders with companies in Taiwan for manufacturing. On top of that, the rising of prices of raw materials and freightage could make earnings of companies go down. Therefore, I do not think now it is good time to invest in the stock market.
