Yesterday I gathered with my friend to go to Nam Sang Wai. We gathered together at 8am in the morning at the last stop of route 968 before going into the Western Tunnel at Sheung Wan.
After around 1-hour travel, we arrived Yuen Long, We took off the bus at the YOHO town stop, it was the first stop when the bus arrived Yuen Long. We rushed into the Yoho Shopping Mall because we both didn't have our breakfast and felt hungrily as well. We had our breakfast at the Oliver Super Sandwich shop because I hadn't had any meal at that brand restaurant for a long time. I ordered chicken chop breakfast and it cost me $37 dollars. Nice breakfast and nice charge for the meal. Because I didn't mind paying a little bit expensive to enjoy better because of the holiday travelling mood.
Then we went to the 大家樂 to rent bicycles, we were told that the price of that bicycle shop was relatively high, but the bicycles were relatively new. We didn't mind paying a little bit expensive as well. We rent 2 bicycles and cost for 40 dollars respectively. But I was a little bit regretted why I didn't choose the 50 dollars one because of its cushion seat.
We ridded towards Pok Oi hospital through the castle peak road and then went into the Nam Sang Wai Road. The Nam Sang Wai Road was a long river side avenue. We could enjoy the beautiful and fascinating views of both the Kam Tin River and Shan Pui river. We saw many birds such as seagull. We explored the area along a network of paths because the landscape of farms and glistening fish ponds were surrounded by waving tall reeds and simple wooden huts let us feel a world away from urban Hong Kong temporarily. Luckily we had rented bicycles instead of on foot, otherwise I believed we should walk over 1 hour for the distance from Yoho Shopping Mall to Nam Sang Wai.
Then we arrived the Scenic tree-lined path. The path was lined with tall River Red Gum trees to attract city-dwellers to Nam Sang Wai. very beautiful and arousing my attention and my brain. We were standing at the place that looked like the scene of love story film. Very romantic if it was the time sunset. Of course I felt so hot because of the sunlight and my long-sleeved shirt. No mood for me for a while but I saw a pair of coupon were photo shooting for their wedding phase. I just thought when would me be married.
Then we went to Shing Kee restaurant to have my lunch. It was a reservoir pool side restaurant, an old wooden style restaurant. We ordered fried pork noodles and 2 drinks. It was relatively cheap for prices 40 dollars for fried noodles and 10 dollars for the drink. The noodle was relatively outstanding and tastily, might be we were hungry. Then my friends showed me his tablet notebook and I started fixing for him. We stayed at there for more than 90 minutes. Fantastically and wonderfully lunch for 90 minutes and cost only 60 dollars.
We came back to the Scenic tree-line path for a second enjoying. Then We crossed the Shan Pui river by the wooden boat. It charged 6 dollars per head and 1 dollar for the bicycle respectively.
After crossing the road, we arrived Shan Pui Tsuen and there was a mini-bus route no.611 to go to the Yoho Town Shopping Mall. Of course we were no need to take the mini-bus. We continued to ride to come back to the 大家樂bicycle shop and returned bicycles to them.
It was only the time 3 o'clock. Was it a bit early to come home? Therefore we decided to stay in Yuen Long old town for a while. We saw B jelly beans 佳記B仔涼粉. I ordered a bowl of B jelly beans and full of different fresh fruits and it cost me 78 dollars.
Then we had a walk in Yuen Long and when it was the time 5:30. We both felt tired and took the bus route 968 to come back to Hong Kong Island.
It was a wonderful travel to Yuen Long.
