最近，返校這部電影在台灣各地的電影院上映，
它的票房非常地好，已經獲得了破億的票房收入。
這代表很多人很喜歡這部電影，它讓他們度過歡樂時光。
這個現象在我的腦海中浮現了發大財的靈感。
每一個人都想發大財，但通常這只是白日夢。
為了要實踐公共利益，我也想要發大財，
因為在大部分的情況下，有錢能使鬼推磨。
除此之外，發大財不應只是一場白日夢，
在我個人看來，它必須透過長期的努力來交換。
努力不一定會成功，但不努力一定不會成功。
由於有很多的台灣人民喜歡看返校，
世界各地的人在看這部電影的時候應該也有同樣的享受。
如果它有好的英文翻譯以及配音，它在全球的票房也會極佳。
換句話說，為這部電影作出極佳的英文翻譯，我就能發大財。
因為我的翻譯技巧現在還不夠好，發大財的目標還離我很遙遠。
這代表我必須善用時間去磨練我的翻譯技巧。
想要精通中譯英翻譯，我必須先擅長於英譯中翻譯。
目前，我找到了一個練習英譯中翻譯技巧的方法，
也就是把電影的英文劇情概述譯成中文版。
持續這麼做，週復一週，年復一年，
我相信我的翻譯技巧有可能會愈來愈好。
想要精通於把台灣電影的中文字幕譯成英文版，
這必須要花費我好幾年的時間來進行翻譯練習。
然而，我將會持續練習我的翻譯技巧，只要我有時間。
努力不一定會成功，但不努力一定不會成功。
我現在受到了柯市長無理的管理風格所虐待，
但我只能忍耐，因為他是台北市政府的大老闆。
然而，只要我發大財，我就能用一堆又一堆的錢來報復他。
君子報仇，三十年也不嫌晚。
我應該感謝柯市長，他讓我產生了發大財的動力。
A Way to Make a Killing
Recently, Detention, a Taiwanese movie is screened at cinemas around most corners of Taiwan. It is by far a box office success, rolling in more than 10 million dollars. It means many people like this movie very much, and seeing it makes them have a good time. This phenomenon makes inspiration of making a killing aroused in my mind.
Everyone wants to make a killing, but more often than not it is only a pipe dream. For realizing of public interest, I also want to make a killing because most of the time money talks. On top of that, making a killing should not be a pipe dream, and in my opinion, it should be exchanged with long-term endeavor. Endeavoring is not guaranteed to be successful, but success would not come without it.
Since most Taiwanese enjoy seeing Detention, people around the globe could also have the same enjoyment when seeing it. If it has good English translation and dub, it could also a huge box office success in every corner of the world. In other words, if I could make an exceptional English translation for this movie, I could make a killing.
Because my translation skill is not good enough now, the goal of making a killing is none the less far away from me. This means I have to make good use of time to hone my translation skills. To be good at Chinese-English translation, I have to have a good command of English-Chinese translation first. At present, I find a way to practice English-Chinese translation, which is to translate English synopses of films into Chinese ones. Keeping doing this week-after-week, year-after-year, I believe my translation skills could become better and better.
To be proficient at translating Chinese subtitles of Taiwanese films into English ones, I would have to spend me many years on practicing translation. Nevertheless, I would keep practicing my translations skills once I have free time. Endeavoring is not guaranteed to be successful, but success would not come without it.
Now I am ill-treated by the orderless management style of Mayor Ko, but I have to suffer from it because he is the Big Boss of Taipei City Hall. Nonetheless, once I make a killing, I could pay him back with piles of money. If a righteous person wants to pay someone back, doing it 30 years later would not be too late. I should be grateful to Mayor Ko, because I am motivated by him to make a killing. |
